Marcus Dolby, who has been coming to Broome since 1982 and has lived in Broome since 1986, runs Dolby Property Developments. Marcus had briefly worked in the building industry in the days when Lord Alistair McAlpine was sculpturing Broome into the town it has become today, working hands-on in the construction of Cable Beach Club prior to working with BHP for eight years.  Five years of selling real estate in Broome gave Marcus an insight into what he felt was missing in the Broome tourism and residential property market. The Blue Seas Resort was Marcus’s first venture into this type of development. Blue Seas has since received many accolades for both its construction and tourism viability.  From there, Dolby Property Developments moved into the residential market, offering a full range of design services including concept and floor plan advice, interior design and project management. Marcus moved to Perth on a part time basis in 2006 and began doing projects there from renovating single homes to whole apartment complexes, during this time he met his now wife and has settled in the Western Suburbs.
